Comm 111 Post #4

So instead of posting a recipe this time I decided to post about Buddy the Cake Boss. If you don't know who he is you need to. He's got to be one of the most amazing bakers I have ever seen. I can only dream of meeting him one day, or going to his shop in Hoboken, New Jersey. Just some fun background information on him, his family is from Italy and his grandfather moved to the United States in the early 1900's. Trying to make their way in the United States Buddy's grandfather started the Carlos Bakery in 1910 and it has been around ever since. Carrying on the family tradition in running the bakery Buddy has recieve many awards for his amazing work. Just within' the past 3 1/2 years Carlos Bakery has gained a lot of publicity from being on TLC and having the famous show Cake Boss.
With such amazing publicity, the bakery has grown from a tiny shop in Hoboken, NJ to a baking factory that's just a couple miles away from the tiny shop. The factory is where most of the large and extravigant cakes are made and the bakery is where the pasterys, cookies and other yummy treats are made. Buddy is a very family oriented man and having to balance the bakery and his family is no easy task, but he always makes time for them and even brings his kids to the bakery so that they too can learn how to become a baker just like him and carry on the family bakery. Along side of having the TV show Cake Boss, Buddy has another show calle The Next Great Baker which features 15 up and coming bakers that are compeating for a job at the bakery and 10,000 dollars. Only one can win. During the show Buddy guides, teaches, and ridicules the new bakers so that they can better their skills and become their own Cake Boss on day. Buddy is an amazing baker and will continue to amaze the world.
